What to expect from a Retreat

Our Iboga retreats are designed to provide a comprehensive healing experience over a 5-7 day period, including two Iboga medicine ceremonies. The first ceremony typically focuses on detoxification, addressing the physical aspects of healing. Because this initial ceremony is primarily physical, a second ceremony is essential to complete the healing process, allowing for both physical cleansing and spiritual and mental transformation.

Throughout the entire retreat, your health and well-being will be closely monitored, and you’ll have access to one-on-one guidance from an experienced provider. This personalized support ensures that your journey is safe and effective, with the provider offering insights and assistance as needed.

An integral part of the retreat experience is the inclusion of "fire talks," which occur two to three times depending on the length and setting of the retreat. These talks are crucial as they delve into the origins and teachings of Iboga, helping you connect with the deeper purpose of your journey and addressing the core issues that brought you to the retreat.

Iboga is unique among master plant medicines in that it offers a guided journey specifically aimed at achieving profound healing and self-understanding. Prior to the retreat, we will work together to explore any questions or significant life events that need to be addressed during your time with us, ensuring that your experience is as meaningful and transformative as possible.

Depending on the retreat, you may also participate in two other cleansing rituals—the Spiritual Sauna and the Spiritual Bath. These rituals are designed to help you release negative energies and habits that no longer serve you, further enhancing your healing process.

Whether you choose a private retreat for one or two participants or join a small group of up to six, the experience will be tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual. All of our retreats are conducted in alignment with the teachings of Iboga, as derived from the traditional training provided by the village. No matter the circumstances, you will receive an authentic Bweté Iboga retreat, deeply rooted in the Bwiti tradition.
